Mit Mitteln des Auswärtigen Amtes fördert der DAAD die aktive Teilnahme von promovierten Wissenschaftler:innen und Promovierenden aus Deutschland an internationalen wissenschaftlichen Kongressen und Konferenzen.

Eine Bewerbung ist jederzeit möglich. Anträge müssen bis spätestens 4 Monate (120 Tage) vor Veranstaltungsbeginn eingereicht werden.
Da die drohenden Mittelkürzungen beim DAAD abgewendet werden konnten, nimmt der DAAD seine Förderlinie ab Juli 2023 wieder auf (www.daad.de/de/der-daad/kommunikation-publikationen/presse/pressemitteilungen/daad-budget-2023-kraeftiger-aufwuchs/). Für internationale Kongressreisen bis einschließlich Juni 2023 hat das Akademische Auslandsamt der Universität Hohenheim den Ausfall der Förderlinie übergangsweise zumindest zum Teil kompensiert. Das Förderprogramm des Akademischen Auslandsamts wird eingestellt, da nun wieder Förderanträge beim DAAD möglich sind.

With funds from the Federal Foreign Office, the DAAD supports the active participation of doctoral scientists and doctoral candidates from Germany in international scientific congresses and conferences.

Applications are possible at any time. Applications must be submitted at least 4 months (120 days) before the start of the event.
Since the threat of funding cuts at the DAAD could be averted, the DAAD will resume its funding line from July 2023 (www.daad.de/de/der-daad/kommunikation-publikationen/presse/pressemitteilungen/daad-budget-2023-kraeftiger-aufwuchs/). For international congress trips up to and including June 2023, the Office of International Affairs of the University of Hohenheim has at least partially compensated for the loss of the funding line on a transitional basis. The funding program of the Office of International Affairs will be discontinued now that funding applications to the DAAD are possible again.
