Travelling exhibition: Carrot City – Designing for Urban Agriculture
"Food production" and "the city" are by no means contradicting terms. This fact is currently being demonstrated by the traveling exhibition "Carrot City - Designing for urban Architecture" which will be taking place in the palace of the University of Hohenheim starting April 23rd. The main focus is how to design buildings and cities in such a way as to allow for urban food production, as well as the effect of agriculture on the development of urban areas and urban culture. The event will be supplemented by the lecture series "Gender, Nutrition and urban Agriculture" including researchers of the University of Hohenheim and guests. A detailled programme can be found at www.uni-hohenheim.de/presse. read the full article (in German).
