The Robert Bosch Stiftung invites applications for "Sustainable Partners - Partners for Sustainability" - Twinning Chinese and German Research Teams [15.08.2012]

Bayer Climate Award 2012 [20.03.12]
With the Bayer Climate Award the Bayer Sciende and Education Foundation honors solution-oriented extraordinary achievements in science and engineering, providing (A) a better understanding of climate change, or (B) new solutions for improved climate protection, or (C) pioneering ideas to better cope with the consequences of changing climate conditions. The Award carries a prize sum of 50.000 Euro and is presented every two years. Nomination deadline is 11 April 2012.The current focus of the Bayer Climate Award 2012 is on

- Material science and eco construction
- Chemistry and process technology
- Agro-science and plant ecology
- Biotechnology and microbiology
- Geochemistry and geophysics
- Polar-, ocean- and costal research

Suitable candidates must have applied the "to be awarded work" at institutes in Europe. They shall have already gained a high-class scientific reputation, but should still be at the crest of a truly outstanding scientific career.
