Research into the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources

Dear Researchers,

we would like to draw your attention to the following call: Robert Bosch Junior Professorship

Research into the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources.

Are you conducting research that is both environmentally and socially relevant?

Do you want to contribute to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations?

Are you an excellent researcher with forward-thinking ideas and an inter- or transdisciplinary research approach?

If yes, we would like to invite you to apply for the Robert Bosch Junior Professorship “Research into the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources” together with the University of Hohenheim as Host Institution.

Areas addressed

The Robert Bosch Stiftung is looking for an outstanding young scientist who wants to find new approaches to clarify and tackle global challenges with regard to the sustainable use of natural resources. The research should focus on developing and emerging countries.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung is especially interested in applications that also consider human behaviour in this context. Research approaches may be based in the humanities, the social or the natural sciences.

With this program the Robert Bosch Stiftung seeks to contribute to a better standing of sustainability science in Germany. Scientists who explore this area with new concepts and methods and possess international experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Promising concepts are inter- or transdisciplinary and integrate research methods that explore interconnections between global and regional environmental problems.

Applicants must show that their envisaged research project is a confident and genuinely innovative step into new areas in their field. It should be obvious from your application that you are developing your own scientific profile.

If you are not the right target group, but you know an excellent former PhD or postdoc or an excellent young scientist from your network? Please inform these potential candidates and/or contact the department of research promotion with any questions.

Applicants who wants apply with the University of Hohenheim as host institution, please contact  Marion Dürr, head of department of research promotion (marion.duerr@verwaltung.uni-hohenheim.de, 22077)  till 31 March 2020.
