For most modules, you do not need to register for the module, only for the examination. You can usually just go to the lecture and the lecturers will tell you their process; the lecturers will also state whether an ILIAS course (e-learning system) has been set up that you should log into. Only modules in which places are limited for reasons of space or supervision (practicals, laboratory, or computer courses) are restricted and require advance registration.
If you need to register and there is a restricted number of participants, this must be indicated in the module description in the module catalog under “Notes.” Please make sure before the start of the lecture period whether the modules you have selected are restricted or not. Each participant-limited module is created as a course on the ILIAS e-learning platform. You need to register there; the procedure for awarding places is stated there too. In general, the following applies: Students for whom the relevant module is compulsory or the last module still to be taken that is required for completion of the degree program must be admitted in all cases.
Registration period: Registration for the ILIAS courses of all modules of the faculty (i.e. not only those with a limited number of participants) is activated two weeks before the start of the lecture period. For the modules with limited attendance in Block 1, registration can end one week before the start of the lecture period, for all other modules with limited attendance at the end of the first week of lectures. Free places can still be allocated in all modules afterwards.
Most modules do not require registration for the module, but only registration for the examination. Students can therefore attend the lectures without prior registration. There it will be announced whether an ILIAS (e-learning system) course has been set up.
However, for modules in which participation is limited for reasons of space and supervision (internships, laboratory or computer courses), you must register in advance. The registration requirements and modalities are listed in the module catalog under "Notes".
Please double check before the start of lectures whether the modules you have selected have a limited number of participants are not, and register for them if necessary.
In general, the following applies: Students from the module is compulsory will be admitted.
Information will follow shortly.
