Try out studying

Attend a real lecture

Attend a real lecture in a Bachelor’s program that interests you. How is the content taught? At what pace is the subject matter covered? What is the atmosphere like in a lecture hall? How is teaching at university different from teaching at school? Try out what studying at the University of Hohenheim feels like.

Registration is required.

Have we made you curious?

  • Sign up between 13 Oct 2025–16 Jan 2026 to get a taste of studying.
  • You will receive an email with all the necessary information to participate: Lecture halls for face-to-face lectures or links to recorded lectures.
  • The face-to-face lectures take place on the Hohenheim campus. Be at the lecture hall in time for the start of the lecture. The campus map will help you find your way around.
  • You can watch the recorded lectures at any time, regardless of the date.
  • Do you have questions about the taster program or would you like individual study advice? Then contact the Student Counselling Center
  • To shorten the time until your taster lecture, you can subscribe to our WhatsApp channel for prospective students and get your first look at university life now.

Please note:

  • There will be no taster sessions on the following lecture-free days:
Mon 22 Dec 2025–6 Jan 2026 (Winter holidays)
Lectures might also be cancelled on days that fall between a weekend and a holiday (referred to as “bridge days”)
  • The trial lecture is a one-time lecture visit! It is not possible to take exams that can then be counted towards a later degree program. Alternatively, interested students can enroll as a guest student
  • Larger groups of 5 or more people (e.g. school classes) are requested to make a separate reservation by email
