The faculties and institutes are decentralized institutions of the University of Hohenheim. In line with the subsidiarity principle they are responsible for the organization of research, teaching, and studies in their respective fields.

Scientific infrastructure

Cutting-edge research is dependent on excellent research infrastructures – for both individual and collaborative research. They are the basic building blocks for outstanding research, and they strengthen the Hohenheim location. The Agricultural Experiment Station is a unique infrastructure in Germany. With 5 locations and 483 hectares of experimental areas, the University of Hohenheim boasts Germany’s largest agricultural experiment station.
