Wieder Präsenzbetrieb: Regeln für das Wintersemester  [06.10.21]

Liebe Studierende,

herzlich willkommen zurück an Ihrer Uni Hohenheim! In Kürze beginnen die Vorlesungen, und endlich können wir auch wieder Präsenzbetrieb starten. Wir Lehrenden freuen uns schon sehr darauf, Sie wieder persönlich auf dem Campus zu treffen. Viele von Ihnen sogar zum ersten Mal!

Was gilt denn nun für Sie – wie ist der Studienbetrieb im Wintersemester organisiert? Der Rektor, Herr Dabbert, hat Sie kürzlich schon in groben Zügen informiert, heute möchte ich Ihnen gerne noch detailliertere Informationen geben. Meine Mail ist leider sehr lang geworden, aber bitte lesen Sie sie durch, denn sie enthält wichtige Informationen.


Drei Grundregeln für den Präsenzbetrieb

Präsenzveranstaltungen werden nach drei Grundregeln stattfinden, die der Rektor Ihnen auch schon erläutert hat. Ich möchte sie gern noch mal in Erinnerung rufen:

1. Es gilt die 3G-Regel: Nur wer geimpft, genesen oder negativ getestet ist, darf an Präsenzveranstaltungen teilnehmen.
2. Bei allen Lehrveranstaltungen müssen Sie eine medizinische Maske tragen.
3. Eine Kontaktdatenerfassung ist für Lehrveranstaltungen, in Lernräumen und in der Bibliothek (außer bei Abholung/Abgabe von Medien) notwendig.

Im Folgenden finden Sie Antworten auf die wichtigsten Fragen. Sie können mich aber gerne auch direkt fragen: Kürzlich hatte ich Sie bereits zu einer offenen Fragestunde via Zoom zum organisatorischen Ablauf des Wintersemesters eingeladen. FRAGEN UND ANTWORTEN ZUM WINTERSEMESTER

Sind alle Lehrveranstaltungen in Präsenz?

Die meisten sind in Präsenz oder in Präsenz mit Zoomübertragung. Doch es wird auch Situationen geben, wo eine Lehrveranstaltung rein online angeboten wird, zum Beispiel wenn sehr viele internationale Studierende teilnehmen, die wegen Corona nicht in Hohenheim sein können. Es liegt aber immer in der Verantwortung der Lehrenden selbst, wie sie die Lehrveranstaltungen durchführen.

Was ist eigentlich hybride Lehre?

Hybride Lehre ist Lehre in Präsenz mit Zoomübertragung. Das besagt, dass eine Gruppe Studierender im Hörsaal sitzt, und die andere Gruppe gleichzeitig über Zoom zugeschaltet ist. Die Technik erlaubt, dass sowohl die Personen im Hörsaal als auch in Zoom den Vortrag hören, die Folien sehen und Fragen stellen können.

Wie weiß ich bei Präsenz mit Zoomübertragung, wann ich in Präsenz oder in Zoom bin?

Das Vorlesungsverzeichnis wurde am 1. Oktober veröffentlicht. Er enthält die Informationen zu jeder Lehrveranstaltung, deren Durchführungsformat (in Präsenz, in Präsenz mit Zoomübertragung, digital synchron oder digital asynchron) und auch den entsprechenden Raum. Den persönlichen Stundenplan können Sie im HohCampus-Portal zusammenstellen.

Geplant ist die Einteilung der Präsenzgruppen über ILIAS, wenn Ihr:e Dozent:in nichts anderes vorsieht. Ihre Anmeldung ist verbindlich, bitte wechseln Sie nicht einfach die Gruppen und Termine! Nur so können wir für alle einen Präsenzanteil im Hörsaal sicherstellen. Und über Zoom ist an den anderen Terminen sichergestellt, dass Sie keine Inhalte verpassen. Kontaktieren Sie Ihre Lehrenden rechtzeitig, wenn Sie Fragen haben.

Was mache ich, wenn ich nicht zum Studieren nach Hohenheim kommen kann?

Wir werden in diesem Wintersemester kein vollwertiges asynchrones Online Lehrangebot mehr haben. Aber in den meisten Veranstaltungen werden, wie in den Jahren vor der Pandemie, die Unterrichtsmaterialien bereitgestellt. Falls in Ihren Modulen Präsenz mit Zoomübertragung angeboten wird, können Sie einfach immer in der Zoom-Gruppe bleiben und die Vorlesung von zu Hause aus miterleben. Teilen Sie dies bitte Ihrer Dozentin / Ihrem Dozenten mit bzw. treten Sie keiner Präsenzgruppe bei. Pflichtveranstaltungen, die nur in Präsenz abgehalten werden (z.B. Praktika), müssen Sie jedoch in Präsenz besuchen.

Was mache ich, wenn ich zwischen den Präsenzveranstaltungen auch Online Veranstaltungen habe?

Falls Sie einen Lernplatz benötigen, um einen Aufenthalt auf dem Campus zwischen zwei Präsenz-Vorlesungen zu überbrücken, können Sie für Lernplätze in Hörsälen und in der Bibliothek eine Reservierung über ILIAS vornehmen. Sie können auch versuchen, in der Mensa außerhalb der Essenszeiten direkt im Eingangsbereich einen Lernplatz spontan zu reservieren (Nutzungszeiten derzeit: 8:15 - 10:30 Uhr, 14:15 - 16:30 Uhr).

Wie läuft der Einlass in den Hörsaal ab?

• 15 Minuten vor Beginn der Vorlesung kommen. Der Wartebereich ist im Freien vor dem Hörsaal.
• Unbedingt pünktlich sein! Die Einlasszeit endet mit Vorlesungsbeginn. Wer zu spät kommt, kann leider nicht an der Lehrveranstaltung teilnehmen.
• Medizinische Maske aufsetzen
• QR-Code rechtzeitig suchen und anmelden. Sie finden den Code am Eingang und auf Ständern davor. Bitte anmelden und die Bestätigungsseite geöffnet lassen.
  
  
• Sobald der Einlass losgeht:
  • Hohenheim Health Pass und
  • Bestätigungsseite der QR-Code Anmeldung bereithalten

• Hände desinfizieren. Desinfektionsmittel steht bereit.
  
  
• Im Hörsaal:
  • Den mit Nummern markierten Sitzplatz aufsuchen
  • Mit bereitstehendem Reinigungsmittel eigenen Tischbereich abwischen.
  • Bitte mithelfen beim Lüften: Wenn Sie direkt am Fenster sitzen, öffnen Sie es bitte, wenn es angesagt wird.
  • Durch die Lüftungsvorgaben kann es im Hörsaal etwas kühler werden – ziehen Sie sich also bitte entsprechend an.
    
    

• Nach der Vorlesung:
  • Hörsaal und Gebäude auf direktem Weg verlassen
  • Ein Aufenthalt in den Gebäudefoyers und Treppenhäusern ist nicht gestattet.

Wir suchen übrigens dafür noch weitere Hygienehelfer:innen für Oktober – wer Interesse hat, kann sich gerne bewerben.

Wie werden die Kontaktdaten erfasst?

Sie scannen mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon einen QR-Code am Hörsaaleingang ab und geben Ihre Kontaktdaten (Name, Nachname, Telefonnummer, Anschrift) ein. Bitte beachten: Die Anmeldung darf maximal 30 Minuten vor Vorlesungsbeginn vorgenommen werden. Geben Sie bitte auch die geschätzte Aufenthaltsdauer ein. Die Datenerhebung dient ausschließlich der Nachverfolgung von Infektionsketten. Ihre Daten werden nach vier Wochen automatisch gelöscht. Nähere Infos finden Sie in den FAQs zur Kontaktdatenerfassung.

Wie wird der 3G-Status überprüft?

Da der 3G-Status für jede einzelne Lehrveranstaltung überprüft werden muss, haben wir einen eigenen Nachweis eingeführt: den Hohenheim Health Pass, den Sie am Hörsaaleingang vorzeigen. Stichprobenartig werden Sie auch aufgefordert, Ihren Hohenheim Health Pass mittels Lichtbildausweis zu bestätigen. Bis 29.10. gelten zusätzlich auch noch die originalen Nachweise des 3G-Status, danach nur noch der Hohenheim Health Pass.

Sind Sie ohne gültigen 3G-Nachweis, dürfen Sie den Hörsaal nicht betreten. Ein Verstoß dagegen stellt eine Ordnungswidrigkeit dar, gegen die hohe Bußgelder verhängt werden können. Bitte nehmen Sie dies ernst – zumal das Ordnungsamt jederzeit Kontrollen durchführen kann!

Was ist der Hohenheim Health Pass und wo bekomme ich ihn?

Der Hohenheim Health Pass ist ein kleines Papierkärtchen. Darauf steht Ihre Matrikelnummer, Ihr Name und eine Gültigkeitsdauer entsprechend der Art Ihres 3G-Status. Sie erhalten ihn in den Verifikationszentren auf dem Campus (Öffnungszeiten und Standorte). Bringen Sie bitte den Studierendenausweis oder eine Immatrikulationsbescheinigung sowie Ihren 3G-Nachweis mit. Die Verifikationszentren haben bereits geöffnet – am besten kommen Sie jetzt schon vor dem Vorlesungsbeginn am 18.10. vorbei.

Was für einen Test muss ich vorlegen, wenn ich nicht geimpft/genesen bin?

Nötig ist ein Antigen-Schnelltest, ein Selbsttest genügt nicht. Das negative Testergebnis gilt für 48 Stunden. Das heißt, Sie müssen alle 2 Tage mit einem negativen Schnelltestergebnis erneut zum Verifikationszentrum kommen, um einen für weitere 48 h gültigen Hohenheim Health Pass zu erhalten.

Wir werden immer wieder gefragt, wie es mit der Finanzierung von Corona-Tests für Studierende ist: Bisher gibt es leider keine Möglichkeit einer Kostenübernahme. Falls sich hieran etwas ändert, informieren wir Sie sofort.

Wo muss ich eine Maske tragen?

In Gebäuden müssen Sie immer mindestens eine medizinische Maske tragen, auch während der Vorlesung. Wundern Sie sich bitte nicht, wenn die Lehrperson die Maske ablegt: Das ist vorne im markierten Bereich während des Vortrags erlaubt, da der Abstand dort besonders groß ist. Nur bei schriftlichen Prüfungen gibt es weder eine 3G-Kontrolle noch eine Maskenpflicht am Sitzplatz, da hier die Mindestabstände eingehalten werden. Auf dem Weg zum Platz müssen Sie die Maske aber tragen. Im Freien brauchen Sie auf dem Campusgelände nur dann eine Maske tragen, wenn die Abstände nicht sicher eingehalten werden.

Ich habe Corona-Symptome. Kann ich trotzdem zur Vorlesung kommen?

Nein, mit typischen Covid-19-Symptomen dürfen Sie nicht an Lehrveranstaltungen teilnehmen. Dazu zählen Fieber, neu auftretender Husten, Störungen des Geschmacks- oder Geruchssinns oder Atemnot.

On-campus courses again: Rules for the winter semester

Welcome back to campus - the University of Hohenheim is looking forward to seeing you again! Your questions about how teaching will work in the winter semester will be answered by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Dear students,

Welcome back to your University of Hohenheim! Lectures will begin shortly, and we can finally start on-campus classes again. We lecturers are very much looking forward to seeing you in person again on campus. Many of you we’ll even be seeing for the first time!

What rules apply to you - and how will courses be organized in the winter semester? The President, Mr. Dabbert, recently informed you in broad terms about how things will work, and today I would like to give you more detailed information. Unfortunately, my email has become very long, but please read it in its entirety because it contains important information.


Three basic rules for on-campus classes

On-campus courses will be held according to three basic rules, which the President has also already explained to you. I would like to remind you of them again:

1. The 3G rule applies: Only those who have been vaccinated, have recovered, or have tested negative may participate in face-to-face courses.
2. You must wear a medical mask for all courses.
3. Contact data must be collected for courses, in studying rooms, and in the library (except when picking up / returning media).

In the following, you will find answers to the most important questions. But you are also welcome to ask me directly: Recently, I invited you to an open Q&A session via Zoom on the organizational process of the winter semester. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR THE WINTER SEMESTER

Are all courses taking place on campus?

Most are on campus or hybrid, that is on campus and transmitted using Zoom. There will also be situations where a course is offered purely online, however, such as when a very large number of international students are participating who cannot be in Hohenheim because of Covid. However, it is always the responsibility of the lecturers themselves to decide how to teach the courses.

What is hybrid teaching?

Hybrid teaching is teaching on campus with the course being transmitted on Zoom. This means that one group of students is sitting in the lecture hall and the other group is simultaneously connected via Zoom. The technology allows both people in the lecture hall and in Zoom to hear the lecture, see the slides and ask questions.

For hybrid courses, how do I know when I am supposed to be on campus or on Zoom?

The course catalog was published on 1 October. It contains the information about each course, its delivery format (on campus, on campus with Zoom transmission, digital synchronous, or digital asynchronous) and also the corresponding room. You can compile your personal schedule on the HohCampus portal.

It is planned to schedule the on-campus groups via ILIAS, if your lecturer does not tell you otherwise. Your registration is binding, please do not simply change groups and dates! This is the only way to ensure that everyone has a chance to come to the lecture hall. And Zoom ensures you don't miss any content on the other dates. Contact your lecturers ahead of time if you have questions.

What do I do if I can't come to Hohenheim to study?

We will no longer have a fully asynchronous online course offering this winter semester. But in most courses, as in the years before the pandemic, the teaching materials will be provided. If your modules offer on-campus attendance with Zoom broadcasting, you can simply always stay in the Zoom group and experience the lecture from home. Please inform your lecturer or do not join an attendance group. However, you must attend compulsory courses that are only held in presence (e.g. lab courses).

What do I do if I have online courses in between face-to-face courses?

If you need a study place to bridge a stay on campus between two face-to-face lectures, you can make a reservation for study places in lecture halls and in the library on ILIAS. You can also try to spontaneously reserve a study space in the dining hall outside of meal times directly in the entrance area (times of use currently: 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

What is the procedure for entering the lecture hall?

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the lecture. The waiting area is outside in front of the lecture hall.
• Be sure to be on time! The admission period ends when the lecture starts. Unfortunately, those who arrive late will not be able to participate in the course.
• Put on medical mask
• Find the QR code in time and register. You will find the code at the entrance and on stands in front of it. Please log in and leave the confirmation page open.
  
  
• As soon as the admission starts:
  • Have your Hohenheim Health Pass and
  • confirmation page of QR code registration ready

• Disinfect hands. Hand disinfectant is provided.
  
  
• In the lecture hall:
  • Locate the seat marked with numbers
  • Wipe your own table area with the disinfectant provided.
  • Please help with airing out the room: If you are sitting right by the window, please open it when you are asked to do so.
  • Due to the requirements for airing out the room, it may get a bit chilly in the lecture hall - so please dress accordingly.
    
    

• After the lecture:
  • Leave the lecture hall and building by direct route
  • You are not permitted to stay in the building foyers and stairwells.

By the way, we are still looking for more hygiene assistants for October - anyone interested is welcome to apply.

How is the contact information collected?

Scan a QR code at the entrance to the lecture hall with your mobile phone and enter your contact details (name, surname, telephone number, address). Please note: Registration may be made no more than 30 minutes before the start of the lecture. Please also enter the estimated length of stay. The data collection is solely for the purpose of tracing infections. This data is automatically deleted after 4 weeks. You can find more information in the FAQs on contact data collection.

How is the 3G status checked?

Since the 3G status has to be verified for each individual course, we have introduced a separate proof: the Hohenheim Health Pass, which you show at the lecture hall entrance. Randomly, you will also be asked to confirm your Hohenheim Health Pass using photo identification. Until 29 Oct, the original proof of 3G status is also valid, after that only the Hohenheim Health Pass.

If you do not have valid 3G proof, you will not be allowed to enter the lecture hall. Violation of this constitutes a misdemeanor, which may be subject to heavy fines. Please take this seriously - especially as the public order office can carry out checks at any time!

What is the Hohenheim Health Pass and where can I get it?

The Hohenheim Health Pass is a small paper card. On it is your matriculation number, your name, and a validity period according to the type of your 3G status. You can obtain it at the verification centers on campus (opening hours and locations). Please bring your student ID or enrollment certificate and your 3G proof. Verification centers are already open - it's best to stop by now before classes start on 18 Oct.

What kind of test do I need to submit if I am not vaccinated/recovered?

A rapid antigen test is necessary; a self-test is not sufficient. The negative test result is valid for 48 hours. This means that you must come back to the verification center every 2 days with a negative rapid test result in order to obtain a Hohenheim Health Pass valid for another 48 hours.

We have received many questions about funding for Covid testing for students: Unfortunately, there is no possibility of covering these costs so far. If anything changes in this regard, we will inform you immediately.

Where do I have to wear a mask?

You must always wear at least a medical mask in buildings, even during the lecture. Please do not be surprised if the lecturer takes off their mask: This is allowed at the front of the marked area during the presentation, as there is a particularly large distance from there to the first seats. Only in written examinations there is neither a 3G control nor a mask requirement at the seat, as the minimum distances are observed here. However, on the way to your seat you must wear a mask. You do not need to wear a mask outdoors on campus property unless the minimum distance cannot be safely maintained.

I have Covid symptoms. Can I still come to the lecture?

No, with typical Covid-19 symptoms, you may not attend classes. These include fever, a new cough, problems with the sense of taste or smell, or shortness of breath.
