Farewell to President Dabbert [16.10.24]

He was a “perspicacious leader who worked to integrate different perspectives, and a special individual who worked tirelessly for his university and its people,” wrote the University of Hohenheim in its obituary for the president. “We had the pleasure of getting to know Professor Dabbert as a person with strong democratic and humanistic values who knew how to take a stand even in a crisis-ridden world, and who always saw the human being in his counterpart with empathy.”
During his 12-year term of office, he played a key role in shaping the University of Hohenheim and guiding it to success. Now the university is bidding farewell to its popular president with a public memorial service. Everyone is cordially invited to the memorial service. A funeral service and the burial will take place in advance among family and friends.
As per the wishes of Professor Dabbert and at the request of the family, we ask that you refrain from bringing wreaths and flowers and instead consider making a donation to the Hohenheim Universitätsstiftung.
