Those who study or work here already know it, but now it's official: Hohenheim has the most beautiful university campus in Germany. This is the result of a survey conducted by the evaluation portal StudyCheck, in which more than 20,000 students from all over Germany took part. If you look at all other types of higher education institutions in addition to universities, Hohenheim ranks second behind Magdeburg University of Applied Sciences.

 

When it comes to fishing for compliments, the University of Hohenheim has an easy job: a photo of the Palace is posted on Facebook or Instagram - and hundreds of likes pour in with alumni from all over the world reminiscing. But the entire campus with its 35 hectares of park area, which is home to over 8,000 plant species, also reflects a lifestyle.

From an aesthetic point of view, Hohenheim does not have to shy away from comparison with other universities. This is the result of a recent survey by the assessment portal StudyCheck with over 20,000 participants.

If you look only at the universities, Hohenheim ranks No. 1 in the German beauty pageant. The Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences has the edge over all other German universities. The University of Hohenheim is in 2nd place in the overall ranking. 3rd place goes to the University of Passau, 4th place to the University of Bayreuth. The campus of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences takes 5th place.

While large universities are often spread over several districts of the city, the compact Hohenheim campus with its short distances and the Palace that supports its identity creates a special sense of community. The University of Hohenheim is trying to make this its special trademark, which is reflected in particularly close interdisciplinary cooperation and the interfaculty bioeconomy degree program.
