Once Again No. 1 in Baden-Württemberg:
DAAD Ranking Confirms Internationalization Program  [12.07.16]

3 million euros: The University of Hohenheim receives the most funding for internationalization projects and scholarships per student in Baden-Württemberg

Study and research networks, international center, active exchange by instructors and students: According to the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in the area of international orientation, the University of Hohenheim is the most active university in the state. That was shown in its current funding list. The DAAD shows which universities qualified for the largest amounts of funding per student with their activities. Last year the University of Hohenheim was already ranked first in this area. The current ranking list of the EU project U-Multirank also put the University of Hohenheim in first place among the participating state universities in the area of internationalization.

20 percent more: in the current edition of the DAAD funding balance, the University of Hohenheim not only successfully defended its top spot. It actually increased its funding from around 2.5 million euros to over 3 million.

In the past year, the University expanded its international activities by including another research network. The driver of new activities are the Hohenheim scientists.

The name and scientific focus of the thematic network is Strategic Network Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Financing (INEF). In this network, business and economic scientists from the University of Hohenheim work together with five renowned partner universities in Belgium, France, Italy, the USA, and China. The DAAD supports this new venture with around 720,000 euros over four years.

INEF is the second network that the University of Hohenheim has linked to DAAD support in recent years. Since 2013, students, young scientists, and professors have cooperated internationally in the Strategic Network Bioeconomy (BECY). And they have been successful, as the DAAD confirmed: At the beginning of the year, the organization extended its financial support for the BECY network until 2018.
