University of Hohenheim once again No. 1 in Agricultural Research and Food Sciences [16.01.17]
No. 1 in Germany, No. 3 in Europe, No. 9 worldwide: University of Hohenheim maintains and improves top positions in Agricultural, Food and Nutrition Research
The University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart has maintained its position as Germany’s no. 1 university in agricultural research including food science and nutritional science. Across Europe, it rose to 3rd place and globally it is ranked no. 9. These results were published in the current Best Global Universities Ranking. The magazine “U.S. News & World Report” bases its rankings on the analysis of the data company Thomson Reuters regarding scientific publications and international reputation. In 2016, the QS World University Ranking and the National Taiwan University Ranking also confirmed the University of Hohenheim’s top position as Germany’s no. 1 in agricultural research. In its ranking, the news magazine published the world’s top 500 universities in terms of research strength as well as the top academic institutions in several disciplines. The universities were ranked according to their international scientific reputation, their publications and the number of their frequently cited scientific publications.
