Sale of the BWGV Academy:
University of Hohenheim expands its campus for a new Big Data Lab [15.11.16]
The Baden-Württembergischer Genossenschaftsverband (BWGV) sells its Academy’s Birkach location / University of Hohenheim expands its competence in Big Data / Student Services Tübingen-Hohenheim creates new residence hall spots for students.
A 10,400 square foot property with 8,300 square feet of floor space for offices, seminar rooms, and residence hall rooms: In the future, the area of the former BWGV Academy Hohenheim in Stuttgart-Birkach will serve to provide space for research and teaching by the University of Hohenheim in computer analysis, processing large amounts of data, and computer modelling of complex systems (X³-Lab).
In addition, Student Services Tübingen-Hohenheim will be creating up to 50 new residence hall rooms. As planned, by selling its building the BWGV will concentrate its educational activities in the future in Karlsruhe-Rüppurr and also help to further strengthen Stuttgart as a center of science. The contract parties have agreed to keep the price confidential.
