The three most important international research ranking institutes all agree: the University of Hohenheim is Germany’s No. 1 in Agricultural Research and Food Sciences.

The current ranking of the National Taiwan University confirmed this impressively last night. For the ranking, which is highly acclaimed worldwide, the NTU evaluates all international academic publications each year and weights them according to academic productivity, excellence and academic influence. Only the 300 best universities make it to the list.

Ascent to 5th place on the international scale – also thanks to Food Sciences

The University of Hohenheim was able to once again improve its position in the Europe-wide comparison. The NTU currently sees it as No. 5 in Europe (previous year: No. 7) and No. 16 in the world (previous year: No. 21).

Because the National Taiwan University includes the research work done by Food Sciences at the University of Hohenheim in the Agricultural Sciences, this department also makes an important contribution to these impressive results.

The President of the University of Hohenheim, Prof. Dr. Stephan Dabbert, was also very happy to see in what good company the University of Hohenheim is with the best five in Agricultural Research. They include the Universities of Wageningen (Netherlands), Ghent (Belgium), Copenhagen and Aarhus (both Denmark).

The University of Hohenheim has already been closely connected with Wageningen and Copenhagen, both as the best in their respective countries, through the Euroleague of Life Sciences for many years. This network focuses on common study programs and the lively exchange of students and teachers. President Prof. Dr. Dabbert also sees the results of this ranking as very positive confirmation.
