In the Bachelor's program in Biology, students can take the elective module “Internship."
Minimum duration of the internship
4 weeks
The internship should be done in a full-time capacity and without interruption.
Where should the internship be done?
The internship can be done at any private or public enterprise in Germany or abroad which are able to give students practical insights into what it means to work in the field of biology.
The internship should not be done at any of the institutes of the University of Hohenheim.
Approval by the Internship office
Have your internship approved by the Internship Office beforehand!
Proof
To receive credit for your internship, you must submit the following documents to the Internship Office:
Original acknowledgement from your employer
Internship report
-ca. 1500-3000 words
-General description of traineeship General description of the enterprise and the department in which you did your training
-Description of personal responsibilities It should be clear what your tasks were and which processes you became familiar with. In addition to a description of your tasks, the information regarding the scientific aspects of your work and, if possible, a concrete example for what was achieved should be included.
Summary and rating of the traineeship
Proof that the internship report was read by your employer. The summary need not be shown to your employer.
