Leadership and management for early career researchers

Managing a working group, supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s students, doctoral candidate, or technical assistants as well as managing a research project are tasks and requirements for postdocs. The quality of work results are also always dependent on the quality of the supervisor’s leadership and management skills. Various offers aim to complement previous experience from daily working life with the use of models, theories, and reflection on practical examples.

The series of courses conceptualized together with the Universities of Ulm and Constance is directed at junior professors and postdocs. The offers aim to develop and strengthen the academic competences.

FEINSCHLIFF (Finishing Touches) is Hohenheim’s talent management program for postdocs. This is a program for especially talented and ambitious early career researchers for up to two years after finishing their doctorates.
