BAföG
It is possible for students to receive financial support, called “Bafög,” according to the Federal Educational Assistance Act.
The aim is to give young people the opportunity to complete a desired education by providing financial support - and this regardless of their social and economic situation.

Housing allowance
If you are not eligible for BAföG, then under some circumstances you can apply for “Wohngeld,” which is a subsidy for your rent.
Scholarships
Scholarships provide students financial and in some cases ideological support by offering an educational program for them or mentoring them during their studies. The advantage is that, unlike BAföG, scholarships do not have to be paid back.
Loans
(Partial) funding for studies with an educational loan, e.g.:
Part-time work
Around two-thirds of students have continual or occasional part-time jobs in addition to their studies. If possible, you should try to find a job that fits into your selected degree program e.g. as a student assistant at the University of Hohenheim or in a company as a working student.
