You have been invited for an interview? Congratulations!
Most interviews have a structured process and are made up of seven interview phases. You can prepare well in advance and practice your self-presentation, deal with typical questions, and think about questions you would like to ask the company yourself. If you ask questions, you show interest and motivation!
Seven interview phases of a job interview
Greeting and introduction of the people in the room (small talk)
Short self-portrayal of the company
Requirements profile of the position from the company's point of view
Self-presentation of the applicant
Questions about the career and professional or personal competences
Questions from the applicant to the company (do not ask more than 1 - 2 questions at the end)
Organizational matters and further procedure
During the interview, pay attention to your posture and body language and follow the rules of communication: Polite interaction, active listening, maintaining eye contact, letting people finish, responding to questions, and not being evasive. Stay authentic.
