Description
In North Vietnam, lowland and upland paddy rice production systems are a major source of agrochemical pollution to surface and ground water. Subproject B5.2 aims at measuring and modeling the water regime and transport of agrochemicals in integrated farming systems in the Chieng Khoi watershed, Son La province. Modeling will be used for evaluating the risk and potential of water pollution across the landscape and to assess the effect of land use and land management changes on the water regime and on the environmental fate of agrochemicals on the watershed scale.
