Abstract

Precision farming applications rely on detailed spatial information. Field trials are
planned and conducted using spatial data (geo-data). Most of the information can be
visualised in maps. The growing number of specific sensors and site-specific variable
rate application technology increase the amount of data gathered. An integration of
different data leads to a better understanding of the processes and interactions
between site characteristics, weather influence and management practices and helps
to improve decisions on crop management.
