Participation
Participation in national and international university championships
The Allgemeine Deutsche Hochschulsportverband (adh) holds more than 50 competitive events in more than 30 sports annually at the national level. The types of sports offered by the adh stretch from favourite ball sports to classic disciplines to current trend sports.
Students and employees of the University of Hohenheim can participate as a team but also as individuals in the competitive events.
German University Championships / German University Cup / adh-open
The University of Hohenheim sends its student athletes and staff to the German University Championships (DHM), the German University Cup (DHP), and the adh-Open organized by the adh, provided they have the appropriate athletic ability.
International Championships (EUC, WUC, Universiade)
Qualification for international competitions (European University Championships and World Student Championships) is achieved exclusively through successful participation in a German University Championship.
Dates
In the adh competition calendar, the announcements of the events with all relevant organizational information about the venue, start and end of the event, accommodation, etc. are available for download.
Dates for major competitions are also posted on the university sports bulletin board in the gym entrance area.
Registration for the DHM, DHP, or adh-open can only be done through the Sports Office.
The participant cannot register directly with the adh. Please contact Sports Office in good time (i.e. at least 1 week before the registration deadline).
It is not possible to withdraw from a competition after the registration deadline!
If you do not participate in a competition, the event organiser requres a so-called “regret fee”.
If an athlete withdraws for reasons for which he is at fault, the registration fee and regret fee will be charged.
The University Sports Office supports the participants in competitions at the University of Hohenheim by granting subsidies for the expenses incurred for registration fees, travel costs, and meals, etc. when participating in competitions organized by the adh.
For more information on grants, contact the Sports Office.
