Abstract

This article introduces task-technology fit into the domain of negotiation support systems. According to the process characteristics of negotiations the creation and handling of issues before or during the negotiation is defined representing the flexible but also very complex nature of negotiations. These tasks require systems that match this flexibility albeit being counterbalanced by further complexity. It can be shown that decision support helps negotiators to achieve more efficient objective outcomes and better subjective outcomes especially in flexible negotiations.
