8th Field of activity: Service for families
The childcare offers at the University of Hohenheim are expanded.
- A new university daycare with 20-30 spots for children under 3 was also created for students whose primary place of residence is not Stuttgart.

The services for parents have been expanded.
- A central point for registering for all childcare institutions on campus has been implemented.
Current implementation status: - The online registration platform for all childcare institutions on campus was set up.

A centrally located room for nursing and diaper changes was set up.
- In addition to that room in the AStA building, in the canteen area another nursing and changing room was set up.

The Dual Career Couples (DCC) Services is regulated.
- A concept on Dual Career Couples is created and implemented.

The accommodation of visiting families is improved.
- A Welcome Center is opened.

With Student Services, improving childcare for students’ children is agreed upon.
- Various alternatives are sought to be able to offer childcare until at least 6 p.m.

The topic of caring for relatives is integrated into the regular reconcilability offers.
- Lectures and events on the topic of caring for relatives are designed and offered for the University public.
- A cooperation agreement is made with a company that offers support in cases of employees needing to care for relatives or other family emergency situations.
Current implementation status: - In the WS 2013/14, a lecture series on the topic “Career and Care” was carried out by the Equal Opportunities Representative.
- Offers were obtained from various providers and are currently being evaluated.
