Reconciling studies or work and family: This premise has a long standing tradition as being part of the University profile. As the first university in the state, already in 2004, the University of Hohenheim received the basic certificate from “audit family-friendly university” by the berufundfamilie gGmbH from the Hertie Foundation. Already re-audited for the 6th time, many measures are established and give students, professors, and staff the opportunity to reconcile their program or their work at the University with their family responsibilities. With the 6th re-audit, the University of Hohenheim is the first in the state to receive the certificate permanently.
