Hardship cases quota

In the case of exceptional circumstances (illness, etc.), it is possible to submit a special request during the online application. 5% of the places in admission-restricted courses are reserved for this purpose and are referred to as the “hardship quota.”

Admission as part of the hardship quota

... if the applicant’s special health, social, or family circumstances make it imperative that the student begin their studies immediately. The reasons must be so serious that a delay of even one semester is unreasonable.

Expert medical opinion (if health circumstances are claimed)

Sufficient comments must be made in the expert medical opinion. The statement should contain information about the origin, severity, course, and treatment options of the disease as well as a prognosis about the further course of the disease. It should be comprehensible even for a medical layperson.
