Students have the option to take the elective module “Internship” (18 credits). The module is ungraded. Alternatively, the module “Internship” (6 credits) can be taken.

Minimum duration of the internship

  •  12 weeks
  • The internship should not be interrupted and must be full-time (for an exception, see “Recognition of Work-Study Positions”).

Where should the internship be done?

The company internship must be completed in a professional field that corresponds to the focus of the degree program.

To have your professional internship recognized, please submit the following documents to the Internship Office:

  • A written internship report. The report should be 5-10 pages in length and consist of three parts:
  1. Presentation of the company
  2. Description of your activities during the internship. In terms of content, that should make up the largest part of your report.
  3. Conclusion
  • A time confirmation/certificate

Recognition of work-study position

  • 4 weeks of the internship can be credited through a work-study position.
  • For this purpose, a working student activity over at least four months with at least 10 hours of working time per week must be proven.
  • The working student activity must be completed in the same company as the internship.
  • In this case, 8 weeks of full-time internship and at least 4 months of student work (at least 10 hours per week) must be completed in the same company.
  • The internship and working student activity do not necessarily have to be completed consecutively.
