Cycling riddles 2021

"A riddle is a task that must be solved by thinking. Riddles can serve to pass the time, or to entertain or educate the person working on the riddle. They are sometimes harder to solve due to misleading, ambiguous information. Occasionally, riddles are posed that have no solution. The goal of such riddles is usually to trick the guesser."

Join in the riddling and start cycling!

We warmly invite you to participate in our cycling campaign Riddle Cycling 2021.

Taking part is very easy:

You can find the detailed rules of participation under "How it works".

It would be especially nice if you would cycle to the riddle locations during the Stuttgart city cycling event, i.e. from 20 June to 10 July. This is the perfect time to donate your kilometers to the "Uni Hohenheim" city cycling team - sign up here. However, you don’t have to participate in the city cycling event.

By the way:
It may be worthwhile to look at several or all of the riddles first, as some can be combined into a single route. And here and there you might even find a bonus point lurking!

Far away riddle locations can be reached by public transport and you can take your bike with you. Here you can find information on transporting your bicycle.

We look forward to a lot of participants - riddle and cycle along with us!

How it works:

  1. Each of the riddles contains clues to the destination including a photo that serves as a template for the evidence photo you need to submit.

  2. When you’ve figured out where the destination is, cycle there and take a picture as proof which resembles the "photo template" in the riddle description (good enough for a comparison). It should also show your bicycle .

  3. Send your riddle solutions, including the riddle number and proof photo, by email with the subject line “Riddle Cycling 2021” by 16 July to fahrrad@uni-hohenheim.de.

Is the riddle too hard? We can help!
We have tried our best not to make most of the riddles too difficult. Before you despair at the location description, you are welcome to ask us for help, we will have a hint or two for you. Simply write to fahrrad@uni-hohenheim.de.

Have fun with Riddle Cycling!

Keep stopping by: More riddles will be added!
