After the cabinet decision on parking space management, the University Management is asking the state to give just as high a priority to additional mobility measures in the Hohenheim Master Plan. To explain the plans, concerns, and needs of the University, the President and Chancellor met Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann at the beginning of June for a personal discussion.
The University repeated their demands in the press release at the start of the semester and at a return visit by the Minister. Minister Hermann promised his full support for Hohenheim’s concerns as long as the University constructively works towards introducing the parking space management.
Specifically, the minister announced funding for a planned mobility station on campus. In addition, he pointed out many additional funding possibilities that could be interesting for Hohenheim and encouraged model projects to be carried out on campus. The University will pursue the minister’s suggestions in the coming months.
