Implementation of the State Higher Education Act

In 2014, the State Higher Education Act (§ 38) was amended.

All three University of Hohenheim faculties have implemented these new regulations in their doctoral degree regulations (versions from February 2015).

Selection of measures implemented according to the legal regulations in the revised State Higher Education Act (LHG) Sec. 38

	mandatory doctoral agreement at the start of the doctorate
	central management of doctoral candidates with DOCATA
	doctoral candidates who have been accepted to the doctorate make up a Graduate Council, which passes by-laws for itself and elects a board
	Admission requirements for qualified graduates from Bachelor's programs, universities of applied sciences, or cooperative state universities (Duale Hochschulen)
	Equal selection of professors from universities of applied sciences or the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University for reviewing or supervising the work of doctorates
