Food and drink

During the Festive Week from 2 - 5 July 2018, in the Palace inner courtyard the Palace inner courtyard will become a small marketplace with many different booths. Food stands offer vegetarian and international delicacies, a coffee wagon, an ice cream stand, and a stand with exotic drinks await visitors. Cake is available at the ecumenical University congregation’s booth.

Delicious: Student Services will offer University members and guests specialties from the grill.


Sale of Hohenheim products:

Hohenheim and anniversary products will be available for purchase. The Department of Viticulture will sell the anniversary wines and serve Hohenheim wine and sparkling wine.

26th Hohenheim Relay Race: On your marks, get set, go: Since 1993, when the Hohenheim Relay Race was started on the occasion of the University of Hohenheim’s 175th anniversary, each year at the end of June / beginning of July this now traditional running event starts under the Hohenheim Palace balcony.

In 2018, the starting signal will sound at 5 p.m. on the south side of the Palace.

Around 70 teams run in groups of 5 either to win, just for fun, or according to the Olympic motto “being there is everything.” Each team member has to complete one of the five 800 - 1500m stretches through the Botanic Garden.

The Hohenheim Relay Race offers those interested in competitive and mass sports an outstanding running experience and an event outside of the daily University and working world.
