Selection and award criteria

Further selection criteria are the academic and personal reasons for the planned stay, as well as voluntary activities. Furthermore, projects relating to the University of Hohenheim’s specializations of “Bioeconomy”, “Global Food Security and “Ecosystems” and “Health Sciences” are given special consideration. The announcement and awarding of the PROMOS individual scholarships is generally subject to the approval of funding by the DAAD. |

Other | Combination with other grants/scholarships: - It is possible to receive International BAföG as well as a PROMOS scholarship. However, the relevant BAföG office must be notified of all PROMOS payments and this may lead to adjustment of the BAföG rates.
- You must declare any other funding when applying for a PROMOS scholarship! Likewise, you must declare the PROMOS scholarship to other grant and scholarship providers.
- Double funding, i.e. funding from other German public funds with the same funding purpose, is generally not permitted. This often also applies to private grant and scholarship providers.
- Financial support can only be granted if there is no travel warning in place for the host country or region concerned, issued by the Federal Foreign Office.
