Abstract

Conflict management employs communication to resolve conflicts; at the same time, communication can be the source of conflicts. In the present research we investigate the role of communication to reduce dimensions of conflict present in electronically supported negotiations and mediations. First tentative results propose that communication quality is a powerful tool to reduce disagreements between parties rooted either in the characteristics of the task, the relationship or both.
