DeLLFi - Integrating digitalization along teaching, learning, and research

The teaching development project DeLLFi is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching. It stands for integrating digitalization along teaching, learning, and research.

The broad project integrates three departments of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, the CareerCenter Hohenheim and, with the Office for University Didactics and Humboldt reloaded, two organizational units that support teaching.

Contents

With the DeLLFi project, the University of Hohenheim is developing the topic of digital teaching for the first time not only at the micro-level of the individual course, but also at the meso-level of the degree programs as well as at the macro-level of teaching culture and teaching organization.

Good digital teaching is based on the concerted use of technical innovations in combination with didactic, curricular, and organizational innovations, which together support a comprehensive cultural change in the university.

The output at the end of the project are results that are also relevant beyond the Hohenheim context and transferable to other university settings:

  • Development of objectives and quality principles for good digital teaching
  • Exploiting the possibilities of digital learning environments
  • Digital competence profiles based on degree programs
  • Good practices for integrating digital formats in degree programs
  • Subject-specific digital toolboxes for lecturers
  • Concept for digital support of research-based teaching and learning
  • AI-supported learning assistance system
  • Evaluation method based on digital text recognition
  • Scientifically validated findings on the use and impact of digital teaching and learning
