Program for May 2021

Topic of the month:

Cattle, Pigs, and Chickens - Animal husbandry of the future

In times of climate change and a growing world population, animal husbandry is under particular scrutiny. Research contributes to optimizing husbandry conditions and nutrition and thus, for example, to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This is not only good for the bioeconomy, but is also done for the welfare of animals.
Off-topic events complement the thematic focus.

Unless otherwise noted, all events are held in German.

Climate change, loss of biodiversity, new consumer habits - what is the future for organic farming? Where can it go from here? Do old principles have to be overturned to be open to new ideas? Can organic agriculture, as it is right now, keep pace with the necessary societal transformation? At our conference we will discuss these questions! Students from the University of Hohenheim, Nuertingen-Geislingen University, the DHBW Heilbronn, and experts from the organic agricultural sector will exchange their views in short pitches with each other and with the audience. We want to bring together your new ideas with those of experienced experts and enable groups with different backgrounds to exchange ideas - this is the only way organic farming can develop further!

You are invited to join in!

Not only can you add your questions and comments to the discussion, but you can also work more intensively on a topic: In the second part of the conference you will have the opportunity to digitally engage with one of the topics discussed, get to know new positions, and network.
