Rankings

The University of Hohenheim regularly achieves top results in national and international rankings. We are particularly proud of awards based on student surveys.

According to the top agrar university ranking 2024, 96% of the participants surveyed would recommend the University of Hohenheim to others — more than at any other university in the survey. The core areas of agricultural engineering — where we ranked first among all universities — and plant and animal sciences  were rated particularly highly.

In the CHE Ranking 2024, students of Agricultural Biology rated the outstanding study conditions, the excellent laboratory practicals, the diverse support during their studies, as well as the wide range of courses as above average.

What our students say

“After the first-class campus initially attracted me here, I was completely won over by the comprehensive range of modules on offer at the University of Hohenheim. In Agricultural Biology in particular, all doors are open in terms of the choice of subjects: whether biologically oriented teaching in Botany, Zoology and Microbiology or more "practical" areas such as Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Livestock Science or Economics, there are no limits for students in the specialization study period.” Zoe Rühlmann
