Organizer tips

For evening events, various restaurants are located close to the University:

Please allow enough time for set-up and tear-down of your event and book these time periods when requesting the room for your event.

Organize enough helpers to provide support for issues such as: Set-up and dismantling, preparation of the room, support during the event, follow-up work in the room after the event

You will need to provide staff for setting up and taking things down. The facility manager can offer support if you request it.

In the Palace, you will find DIN A4 frames for use on the first floor next to the staircase.

Please empty and put away the frames after use.

On campus open spaces, signage is only available after consultation with the Open Space Manager: paul.weinmann@verwaltung.uni-hohenheim.de.

Possible seating arrangements for the room you are interested in can be found on the event room pages.

Please also refer to the specifications for seating and tables in the room.

The use of open fire (candles) is prohibited. For further information, please refer to the fire protection regulations of the University of Hohenheim as well as to the Occupational Safety pages.

The University of Hohenheim cannot provide dishes, refrigerators, or service personnel, nor can it provide the use of the kitchen. Please arrange your needs with your caterer or plan enough helpers.

There are no storage rooms or storage facilities for wardrobe, caterers, or other equipment. Plan for enough space in the event room or book an additional room if necessary. Hallways or foyers may not be used, as these are escape routes.

Please find out well in advance if there are storage facilities for your equipment etc. near your event space:

  • To be able to use photos without restrictions for public relations purposes, event visitors should be informed that photos are being taken, and it might be necessary to get written consent. more

Utensils, refrigerator, use of kitchen

The University of Hohenheim cannot offer any utensils, refrigerators, or the use of the kitchen in the Palace. Please talk to your caterer about your needs.

You may order University of Hohenheim merchandising articles for your event at the Uni-Shop.

No presentation materials are available in the event rooms. Please bring your own facilitation kit.
